This song written by Gary Nicholson is a true masterpiece. I have always loved it and decided I had to include it because it put into words so beautifully the centering message of our humanity. Gary is a devotee of Paramhansa Yogananda.

I recorded Choose Love in phases. The first phase was co-producing with the extraordinarily talented Rob Graves who I met at a studio in Franklin, Tn. Rob created the initial rhythm bed and I went in and sang the basic vocal and my background vocal parts.
Then oh about a year went by while I was just carried away into millions of other various things. When I took a trip to South Africa in 2004 I was going there to see friends and to record a Zulu hymn for the "Prism" CD. When there I got the idea to rope JB Arthur and Victor Masondo into helping me add some additional tracks. So I left the phone calls in their hands and boy did that work out!
South Africa is full of astonishingly talented musicians and JB and Vic know the cream of the crop!
Here I am with Kenny Mathaba and Godfrey Mgcina. Kenny played the maskhandle acoustic guitar and Godfrey played percussion.
And here I am learning the secret handshake.
And then to top it all off my dear friend Gail's son Jonathan Hamilton sang this incredible duet voice on Choose Love. That young man is going to be a huge artist!
