Shalom Aleichem -- May peace be upon you.
Shalom ... peace ... from the Hebrew word shalem,
which means complete.
I was working on another song altogether that was in Hebrew when I was made aware that the song I'd chosen was one that was to be sung only by men during high holy days. Gary Malkin, my co-producer on this track, suggested this beautiful song. It was recorded in San Francisco. My friend and often co-writer, Annie Roboff, was along to be my "pronunciation police".
