Love to see you looking so happy and sweetly proud of yourself! Some of our proudest family possessions are handthrown pots that made it past the frustrating lump of wayward clay stage.
I hope you’re well. You’ve brought me and so many other millions of folk so much comfort, joy and courage over the years, I wish there was more I could do to thank you. I’ve taken friends and family to your live concerts in Scotland, bought your albums and and blogged about your gifts, but it seems like such a poor tradeoff. I’ve been a wordsmith and musician, singer and music lover my whole life, and of all the music I’ve ever loved, in any language, I’ve chosen one of your songs as my last message to my loved ones, when the day comes.
You’ve given us all the gift of grace. Thank you.
